Between the years 1939-1945 the world went through major changes. World war two started in 1939 following the holocaust in 1935. The Holocaust, also known as the Shoah, was a genocide in which Adolf Hitler's Nazi Germany and its collaborators killed about six million Jews. Not only did the holocaust and world war two affect Germany, but it affected the whole world. These events are reflected in the play the diary of Anne frank through the characters actions and the way they lived. In the play “The Diary of Anne Frank’ the characters live a rough life. The way they lived and the way they ate. They did not have much fun. With the information in the text the reader can conclude that the holocaust had started some time after Anne Frank's birth. Anne franks family were forced to live in Mr Frank's old workplace’s attack so that they could be unfindable. The Frank family were hiding out of fear of the nazis and being captured by the nazis. The trigger for the Franks relocating would have been when Margot received a letter demanding that she report to a labor camp. They relocated into Mr franks old workplace and took a few friends with them. After a while the characters are Mr. Frank, Mrs. Frank. Anne, Margot, Mrs. Van daan, Mr. Van daan, Peter, and Dussel. The way the characters lived was harsh. They were not able to be loud or have fun during the day, they had very little to eat, and they were only able to be active during the night. Most of all they had very little space and were very crammed and they depended on people for them to survive. They stayed in the warehouse for quite some time because they were not able to ever step foot outside of it. Anne was disappointed and
