Imagine this, your in New Orleans, at the super dome(picture of super dome at bottom of page). Who's idea was it to make this massive arena, well it was inspired by roman engineering, one of the best roman legacies. In the modern world Romans have influenced some of the worlds most important and most magnificent structures. There is a quote "Rome fell but it's legacy lived on" this means even though Rome's empire fell, Rome's legacy or ways of life are still being used. There are 4 roman legacies these legacies are, roman art, roman architecture and engineering, roman language and writing, and roman philosophy, law, and citizenship. And although these are all very important I believe that Roman engineering and Roman architecture are the most impressive. The Romans were great architects, and engineers. They changed the world in many ways, they were the greatest builders of roads, bridges, and aqueducts in the world. The Romans learned how to use the arch, vault and the dome to build huge structures that affected the modern world in many ways. This is evidence relating to the Romans not only because it says that they were indeed the most effective builders of their time. But also that they were also a powerhouse for not only fighting, but if their building strategies are still used today there probably pretty good. If you wanted to see where their building strategies are used today you could go to a sports game, Or in large buildings with curved shaped roves for example TD garden (also used 360 degree viewing inspired by the coliseum), or in the U.S. Capital
