Social media is a general term define in the "Social Media and Dietetic Practice" professional practice in the College of Dietitians by Debora Cohen, as the cluster of network such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linked In, Skype, and YouTube that aids the interactions of information and ideas online. It is also defined in the "Social Media and Health Care Professional Benefits, Risk, and Best Practices" by C. Lee Ventola, as a broad and continuously developing term that refers to the internet-based tool that permits individuals to interconnect and share personal ideas, images, and other content. Social Media is an influential device that can have a lot of advantages and it can give a Dietitian an instrument to create their business, reputation, and challenge their knowledge. It opens the possibility to make information accessible and it can be shared rapidly making it available to anyone.
