Civil Rights and Civil Liberties are two different things which are equally important for public people as well as the nation. Civil Rights and Civil Liberties despite known as the synonym words in today’s days, we must be aware that they have different meaning in different situation. Civil Rights focuses on the most internal things like people should not be discriminated on the basis of gender, color, race and religions where as Civil Liberties focuses on collective fundamental rights of people. 1 This paper focuses on the differences between civil rights and Civil Liberties.

The rules and regulations of civil rights are always implemented by court decision. Civil rights most of the time is implemented for all the people of world but sometimes they are found applicable for certain groups like: state, cities or country only. In opposite to that, civil liberties are always given to the people by first amend meting which allows people to speak, think, worship and organize freely without any restriction of any private sectors. Freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of rights, rights to privacy is some example of civil liberties. Civil rights and civil liberties are both mechanical components which has tremendous influence on the way how individuals lives their live. They are both used in different situation. Police have the rights to suspect people and ask the question or investigate someone if they think they have some reason to do so. Sometime Tarry stop is found to violate a person’s right because police sometime may suspect the innocent people which is only the lost of time. Fourth amendment has some rules for the Terry Stop violate. Police can suspect only if they have the reasonable or specific proof. Stopping traffic is one of the examples of Terry stop. The fourth amendment allows police to stop the vehicle and do the necessary investigation if needed. Police can do so only under the plain view.
