In the early 19th century, the United States of America was still just a young nation trying to find its way. Two parties emerged as competitors for the people’s votes and the opportunity to enact their view of how the young government should be handled. On opposing sides were Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton. The Federalist philosophy of Hamilton was less trusting of the common man and more valid for the time period given the state of the United States in the early 19th century than the Anti-Federalist views, divisive actions, and philosophy of a strict constitutional interpretation of Thomas Jefferson. Alexander Hamilton authored a great many of The Federalist Papers of the late 18th century.
Washington said that we must avoid forming political parties because it would separate our country. We ignored him then, but look at where we are now, boy was he right. Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson were two people of separate political parties who disagreed on almost every matter. Hamilton used to be poor and grew up in St.Croix. When he was sent to the mainland he became the loud mouthed Secretary of Treasury under Washington’s leadership.
Jefferson vs Hamilton’s Inspiration and Beliefs The Federalist ideas of Alexander Hamilton influenced the future Democratic Republic government, created by Thomas Jeffferson as president, by finding the money management used by America and the beliefs behind negotiation and centralized government. During the late 1700s, Hamilton became the secretary of state and created the plan to bring America out of its debt. As a federalist, many of his ideals included the elastic, or necessary and proper, clause and giving more power to the government, as this affected his plans of taxation, banking, and constitutionality in certain decisions made by the government. Two different points of view can pull out what the other never saw. By using tactics from both parties, Jefferson and Hailton came up with a way to resolve America's debt.

The Federalists believed they could learn a lot from Great Britain and that the United States should be designed like England 's government. they wanted centralized bank and Federal Constitution.
The Enlightenment is a period of time during the 17th and 18th century that brought forth many new, revolutionary ideas regarding social, political, and economic issues. Such ideas aided the founding fathers in their creation of a new government that would soon be the United States of America. Two of these founders, Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson, differed in their political reasoning. For example, while Jefferson believes that the people “can be trusted with their own government,” Hamilton argues that the people “seldom judge or determine right.” Hamilton favored a type of government that would put a select few (the rich) in charge of the people, while Jefferson favored a government that would put the people in total control.
Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson were two of the political philosophers in the United States during the 1800s. They were always going head to head on topics from who should govern the people,how the government should be structured, economics, and foreign policy. Jefferson, who was a Democratic-Republican supported the common people’s rights. He also wanted to limit the powers of the federal government. Hamilton on the other hand was of the Federalist party who was against the common people having any say so in how things were ran.
Each one had their own view of how to do this, but it was a main goal of both politicians. Alexander Hamilton was a founding father and leader of the Federalist party. Hamilton wanted America to be just like Great Britain. He believed that in the best interest for the country, the government should be run by elite people with lots of money. Hamilton was The United States Secretary of Treasury, during this time, and proposed many of his reform ideas to Congress.

Jefferson was the leader of the Republican party and Hamilton was the leader of the Federalist party. The political parties were created by Hamilton and Jefferson based on their differences in opinion on how the country should run. For example, Jefferson believed that the government should be self-governed and all of the power should go to the individual states.
Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson both love their country dearly in their own ways, but Alexander Hamilton is the best option for a growing country. He has everything you want from a president of a growing country. Alexander Hamilton was born on January 11, 1757,Charlestown , Saint Kitts and Nevis. He had a wife and multiple kids. All of this helped him understand what a country needs to be a safe country.
Hamilton vs. Jefferson Visions to Reality Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton both had very defined visions of the scope and power of the new federal government, how they saw the future of the economic development, and what the United States society should become. In my opinion Alexander Hamilton had more of an impact on the United States during the 1820’s and on contemporary government when compared to Thomas Jefferson. His policies did not strictly work during that time and many of his ideas are still seen in today’s society. Jefferson’s views and ideas on/of the national bank, higher tariffs, debt assumption, The Federalist Party, and his support of the ratification of the Constitution are all reasons in why his policies and visions came closer to becoming a reality. Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton, molded the gatherings that provoked to the twofold party system under which the U.S. works today.
Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton two great leaders that played a major role in United States history, both helped to shape America. Who would be the best out of the two? Jefferson and Hamilton shared different views. Alexander Hamilton who was a federalist he did not believe in the people and favoured and strong government. Jefferson an anti-federalist the opponent of Hamilton, believed in the people and favored a weak government.
The topic that struck me as most surprising in the course material in week four was the opposing views of Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson. One would think that the adoption of the Constitution would help diminish the divisions in America by forming a centralized government. However, those who supported the constitution split into two different groups. One side rallied with Alexander Hamilton who became a driving force for an ambitious Federalist agenda. Visions of America summarized Hamilton’s perception by saying, “The adoption of the constitution developed a strong military and pursue economic development aggressively.”
There was many differences between Alexander Hamilton and Thomas Jefferson,they both had different ideas of how to run the country. Alexander Hamilton was a Federalist who believed in his loose Constructionist views, a support for manufacturing and trade, and a strong national government. Thomas Jefferson, a Democratic-Republican, believed in his strict Constructionist views, a support in agriculture, and a strong state government. These two both played impacts on the Early Republic. However, Hamilton’s views on the Constitution, the central government, and an ideal economy greatly influenced the formation of the United States in the Early Republic times. Hamilton’s loose constructionist ideas overrode Jefferson’s strict constructionist views, as seen in the National Bank.
