“Evil is a choice and without God there will be no basis or morality” How do we define morality? Morality for me is being unselfish and humanitarianism. Having the ability to know and being able fulfill your responsibilities and duties in an ethical and equitable way. Morality requires self-assessment and self-realizations, in other words being moral means knowing your limitations – being able to determine what is right from wrong which can only be done by assessing your actions and gauging the result of it - if it has negative results which can cause sorrow or pain to someone, then it is wrong but if it has positive effects or results then it will be considered as morally right or ethical. The way I see it, morality could either be subjective or objective. Subjective in a sense that we are the one perceiving and deciding if an action is right or wrong; it is a person’s individual choice which usually varies on the circumstances on the other hand, it is also objective because it based on universal moral principles. For me, we should be objective moral basis, so in that case the world would probably be peaceful, well-organized, and more efficient because everyone would always know what is the right thing to do and what are the things they must not do or should be …show more content…

They act accordingly to what they believe in. In other words, what makes something good or bad, right or wrong, it is an individual’s choices or decisions. Some says they act morally because they feel like it is their responsibility and some says they do it because they are afraid of what we called karma. But how do we really say that we act morally or ethically? Philosophically speaking, we cannot really identify if an action is morally good or bad because morality changes overtime. What is right today might be wrong or prohibited years ago. Example wearing short shorts and spaghetti straps are prohibited before, it is considered as immortal, but nowadays it is considered as something normal. See morality changes overtime. Hitler succeeded in brainwashing everyone into believing that killing millions of Jews was the right thing to do which only implies that all opinions were really subjective not until everyone agrees on.
