In the books, Cinder by Marissa Meyer and 1984 by George Orwell, each of these books have many differences but only some similarities. The difference in each book are the main characters, for example, the main characters are different from each other based on their personalities, different types of technology, and age/gender difference. The similarities between the two books would be how the books end, which is the similarity of their plot setting. Both of the main characters have their own enemies that they are dealing with, such as their home leader (1984) or a leader from another planet such as in Cinder. Both of their enemies seem to spy on their citizens as well. The characters both try to defeat this enemy but unfortunately, do not succeed in the end. Cinder is about a 16/17-year-old teenage girl, named Linh Cinder or Cinder, who is different from the rest of her citizens, she is a cyborg and also a lunar, but she has not told anyone. The lunars are the people who live on the moon and who watch the citizens on earth so that they can learn their weaknesses and overrule them, taking over their land. The lunars are ruled by the selfish, evil, and cruel, Queen Levana. She killed her niece in a nursery fire, who is revealed later on in the book to be Cinder, and her own sister, Queen Channary. Lunars are also the most hated people on the planet because they have special powers that they use in order to brainwash the people and the citizens think that all they ever bring is evil and never any
