1. Clothing
I have noticed many differences in clothing between Canada and Italy. Most of these differences are in things that people in Italy wear that Canadians would never wear. My town in Canada is very open and non-judgemental about the way people dress. In my high school, people have all sorts of styles, we are so used to seeing clothing of all sorts so it really takes a strange outfit to provoke weird looks from classmates. Girls wear anything from fancy dresses with high heels, to tie-dyed shirts and baggy pants, to the average jeans and a top. Most guys wear simple clothes, like jeans and a T-shirt, but some also wear crazier things like full body hunting-print outfits, fancy suits with bow ties, and other outfits that could easily pass as Halloween costumes. Everyone has their own style, and unless it’s particularly obnoxious, people respect it.

One difference, a lot of teenagers in Italy find it “cool” to wear articles of clothing with the American flag on them, or just American-related things, like “California”, “New York”, “Hawaii”, or even just “USA”. That is one thing people in Canada, in general, don’t find cool. Wearing a lot of this type of clothing in my school in Canada is one thing that could get you judged by your classmates. Another difference, is the clothing style of the guys in Italy. Guys here usually dress nicer than guys in Canada, or they just spend more time putting together outfits and trying to look
