Trent Mays and Ma’Lik Richmond Of age 17 and 16 Ohio football players, Trent and Ma’Lik had raped a drunken 16 year old girl first in the back seat of a moving car after a mostly underage drinking party , and then in the basement of a house. Three other boys, two of them on the football team, saw something happening that night and didn't try to stop it but instead recorded it with their cell phones. This triggered a series of incidents at home and in school. Its effects were severe anxiety and depression. This clearly shows that first the adolescents were influenced for coming to an underage party and drink. Both being friends one influenced the other and they made the wrong decision and ended, raping a girl. This not only ruined their life but even the girl’s. He told his friends to move from the store as fast as possible. His friends took him on a side and scolded him and told him to keep back all the CD’s he stole and the boy disagreed to so the friends told him that “if you want to hang out with us and be our friend you will have to keep them back”. The boy thought for a while and kept the CD’s back and apologized. He later realized that what he did was wrong and was glad to have friends like them. This is a clear example of positive peer pressure. This shows that peer pressure can be used as a positive force and friends can force someone to do right things.
