Digital health is the union of the digital revolutions with health presenting a new paradigm in our healthcare, everyday living, and impact on the society. Digital health includes mobile health (mHealth), health information technology (IT), wearable devices, tele-health and telemedicine. Digital Health is beyond Healthcare IT i.e. electronic coding, electronic billing systems, electronic medical records (EMR), and networks used for digital imaging such as PACS. It can leverage predictive analysis and computing technology to improve quality and scale of health care infrastructure.
Few examples of some Technologies shown on the digital health landscapes are as follows:
• Apps and self-monitoring wearable devices such as Fitbits and smart watches …show more content…

Medtronic and Johnson & Johnson entered into Watson Health partnerships with IBM, personalising diabetes management solutions, Novo Nordisk signed up to an IBM Watson Health Cloud to launch a digital platform to help manage patients’ diabetes, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) collaboration with IBM Watson to allow GSK consumers to ask questions via voice or text, GSK and Sanofi have joint ventures with Verily Life Sciences, to develop bioelectronics medicines and comprehensive diabetes management platforms.
Digital Health Concerns
1. The rights and responsibilities of the different stakeholders involved in connected digital health need to be better recognized and highlighted. Some healthcare and consumers are currently excluded from full partition in digital health ecosystem due to lack of necessary infrastructure, social disadvantage or because their needs are not adequately recognized.

2. Health related data are potentially valuable to all stakeholders, it is important to find an effective and ethical way to connect health data with all involved …show more content…

Conclusion and Recommendations

My Future Project in Digital Health will involve -” How might we predict a medical emergency (like heart related issue) one week before and offer user (patient) domiciliary treatment preventing hospital admission. Thus, preventing morbidity, mortality, and hospitalization related expenses."
Involving till date technology and medical experience, to contribute to concerned departments in finding a solution to the question which involves concern for the Canadian government, Insurance and Canadian health provider space.

I am very inclined to find a predictive analysis answer to the above required societal problem. A Remote Patient Intelligence approach, an automated device-based tele-monitoring and mobile tele-monitoring of user’s Vitals using biometric sensors, introduce a predictive analytics platform, software to carry out data mining to intelligently screen for abnormal signals, in isolation or in combination with machine learning.
New Models of Care - Applying Predictions to stop patient re-admissions. Keeping patient at the centre of Cognitive Clinical Machine .Delivering individualized recommendations and patient risk.
