Digital recording and distribution has affected the music industry both negatively and positively. The negative aspects of the digital age is that it is more difficult for an artist to obtain money from their music when digitally distributed and or streamed. Customers are trading in their purchased CD’s for free music streaming apps such as, Pandora or Spotify.
