There are many geologic devastations. An example, of one of these is The Dust Bowl. Many people don’t know where or what The Dust Bowl was. People also don’t know when it started or ended. Also, people don’t know what the Soil Conservation Service or the Civilian Conservation Corps is. Finally, they don’t what the importance of conserving crops. In this essay all of these questions will be answered.

In this day and age most people don’t know what the Dust Bowl is. The Dust Bowl is ,also known as the Dirty Thirties, was in the 1930’s when massive and severe dust storms that greatly damaged the ecology and agriculture of the American and Canadian prairies. The Dust Bowl was located in southeastern Colorado, southwestern Kansas, and the panhandles of Oklahoma and Texas. The Dust Bowl started in the year of 1931 and lasted a decade. The Dust Bowl caused many things. It damaged the ecology and the agriculture. It also killed many people. Many people don’t know where or what The Dust Bowl was. In the Dust Bowl around 3.5 million flead the plain states, more than 500,000 thousand people were left homeless, and over 350 houses had to be torn down after one storm only. Somes mortgages foreclosed by banks, and others felt they had no choice but to abandon their farms in search of work. The Dust Bowl was obviously very tough for most people. Many animals lived through the Dust Bowl, the most common are: cattle, horses, chickens, and jackrabbits. In the Dust Bowl the cattle, horses, and chickens all died the same way, blinded from the dust. The jackrabbit was different, they adapted to the climate of the Dust Bowl very
