The disadvantages of the Penn State Geisinger Health package, it took away the entitlement and job security for those employees who were connected to Penn State University. According to the reading in Reeves, those who were affiliated strictly with the College of Medicine were able to stay employed by the Penn State University and the other were moved to the Penn State Geisinger Health System’s payroll. The employees felt like their job was no longer a passion but a business atmosphere. Their job responsibilities increased but their pay stayed the same which employees started to feel that they were being overworked. The educational benefits were no longer there for those employees where depending on it for themselves or/and their dependents
