The holocaust was one of the worst genocides that has happened to one race in the last 100 years it lead to the deaths of 6 million to 17 million jews. There are not that many people still alive that got saved for it because of the exprempit they were put through the time they were in the camps dieing. One of many ways the nazis killed so many jews was gas chambers and pizza type ovens they had mounds of people from the gas chambers piled up in the millions. When they got saved they had to did massov graves and use a bulldozer to get all the bodys in to the grave. In the book Night by Elie Wiesel there are many instes of dehumanizing for example they had to be put in to the cattle cars.
Unfortunately, many people were not lucky during the time of the Holocaust. During the Holocaust, many people were killed. Many people were killed not by what they did but by who they were, how much money they had, how old they were, and what gender they were(Hitler's rise to power). The Nazi regime killed about six million jews during the holocaust. During the 1940s German authorities targeted Jew and many other people, they would be put in death camps and forced to do hard labored. The atrocities the Jewish people had to face was terrifying. Going day after day not knowing if you will be the one selected to die;having your love ones die and suffer. Doing hard labor and very little food.
During the 1930s and ‘40s, one of the world’s most depressing time soccured. This was known as the Holocaust. Over the course of the Holocaust, 11 million people died. It was during WWII where the participants were Nazi Germany vs. The Allies. The Nazis targeted the Jewish race and religion because they were “inferior” and imprisoned and murdered them; as a result, six million Jews were killed and countless lives were affected.
Charles Milles Manson was an infamous miscreant in the 1960s. Manson was probably best known for the series of grisly murders that he instructed his cult to carry out. He was later caught and convicted of first-degree murder. To start off, Manson’s childhood was very bleak.
Jewish people were victim of the abuse that they received from the "Superior" Aryan race, they were sent towards concentration camp and were treated harshly and killed in cold blood, simply because of their religion, this was called the holocaust. The Holocaust started in 1941 and ended in 1945. (Wikipedia) And during that time period Jewish people were systematically killed adding numbers up to six million by the end of the Holocaust, one and a half million being children. Now take into account that not only Jewish people were targeted, the Nazi regime murdered many other races they thought weren't helpful to the Third Reich. Johovas Witnesses, hopmosexuals, mentally and physicaly challenged people were also killed.
There is no doubt about the fact that the Holocaust was a horrible time, but just how bad was life in the case of Jewish men, women, and even children. Life as they knew it changed forever during World War II. They were treated as extremely low class citizens. Just being alive was torture to them as the Nazis made their lives and every aspect of them into a living nightmare. Almost every situation relates back to the basics of life food, money, and a job.
In 1993 the beginning of the genocide of millions of Jewish people began otherwise known as the Holocaust. The Nazis plan to exterminate all Jewish people was referred to as the Final Solution. During this time period the Jewish people were discriminated against by being segregated, stripped of their identities, and being taken away from everything they own and love and forced into concentration camps. It has been a problem for the Jewish people ever since the times of the Egyptian Pharaoh’s and there on to about World War 2. The Jewish people do not have a place to call their own so they become parts of other nations.

Race is seen throughout this entire novel. The Holocaust is a sensitive and horrifying time in history for the Jewish community. It recognizes weakness, loss, and death. Starting of the novel, the setting seems relaxing and hopeful. The narrator mentions the German Nazi, but it does not interfere with the story.

Jews that lived during the Holocaust were robbed and deprived of their God given rights and humanity.. They slowly lost hope, faith, family, and the reason you keep living. Elie Wiesel realizes he has to let go of his family to survive when the doctor says, “In this place there is no such thing as father, brother, friend”(110). This is dehumanizing because people are born needing a family to depend on and once they lose something as simple as that, they fall into a pit of negative emotions. Thousands of people lost their family members during the holocaust and the Germans had absolutely so sympathy towards them.
The Holocaust is the deadliest recognized genocide in human history. It lasted from January 30,1933 – May 8,1945 and would result in the l1 million deaths. The causes of the Holocaust begin at the end of World War One with what Germans referred to as “the stab in the back”. This was a myth that claimed the German Army did not loose World War One but was betrayed by the Jewish population who gave up land and supplies to the Allies. As this spread anti-Semitism or hate for Jewish people grew in Germany as people viewed the Jewish population as deceptive and traitorous.
