There are more relations with Roman Legislative and the United States government. The process of making laws is very similar also. During the Roman Republic, to make laws there was bicameral activity taking place. Legislation was first passed through a group called the comitia, or an assembly of citizens. It was then passed down and approved by the representatives of the senate, and then issued by the senate ad the people of Rome. The United States has a similar process of making laws. The law is first called a bill and goes through Congress. If Congress does not veto the law then it must go to the President for him to sing the bill and make it into the law.
