Moreover, companies must consider the effects of economic, legal, political, social and cultural differences between the nations. First, economic barriers are a country’s level of development also known as their infrastructure which can encompass the physical facilities that support the economic activity such as highways, railroads, airfields, hospitals, schools and so forth. Another economic factor to consider is the exchange rate of another nation’s currency, which can change daily. Next, there are extensive legal and political barriers to be examined such as differing laws, tariffs, embargoes, political instability and even war.
