There are two principally interesting and thought-provoking rudimentary dissimilarities between the 18th and 21st centuries. First, a sense of responsibility to the people was rampant then. Individuals of the Enlightenment felt that communal beliefs were more important than individual opinion. Public life was of more importance than any one individual’s private life. A second area of importance that was contrasting between the 18th and 21st centuries is the behaviors or dignity. Individuals of the Enlightenment period believed that a well-distinct code of conducts and behavior was essential to allow mankind to live in harmony, together. Behaviors and dignity consisted of decided upon conduct that was suitable for particular situations.
