ABSTRACT:-Music has been a very common activity or hobby for entertainment among people. Among the most used music instruments, guitar has been a revolutionary instrument .The popularity of guitar based music had been on the rise in the earlier 1900’s. But suddenly in the mid of the 20th century, due to the inclusion of “Distortion” the rock music scenario achieved new heights. Now rock guitarists began intentionally "doctoring" amplifiers and speakers in order to create even harsher distortion. Guitarist Link Wray began intentionally manipulating his amplifiers vacuum tubes to create a "noisy" and "dirty” sound for his solos after a coincidence. Wray also made some holes in his speaker cones with pencils to further distort his tone. In 1966, Jim Marshall of the British company Marshall Amplification began modifying the electronic circuitry of his …show more content…

I. INTRODUCTION:
A guitar sound setup is shown in the figure below:

A Distortion Pedal is just a part of the overall sound system. A Distortion Pedal due to its internal circuitry is somehow able to distort the clean sound of a guitar. Then this distorted sound is further modified using an equalizer and then the sound is amplified using an amplifier.
A simple guitar tuner is shown in the figure below:

A guitar usually has a six note tuning for the six strings on it. “E A D G B E” these six notes attain to six different frequencies. The guitar is plugged into the tuner then each string is played one at a time. Then according to the frequency of the string the tuner indicates one among the six notes and ‘the sharpness or the flatness’ of the note. The string is then Tightened or Loosened
