This novel was filmed and released on March 21, 2014 in the United States. This novel is the debut of her and the first novel of Divergent trilogy. This novel explores the issue of identity, personality, social classes, power and freedom. The most explored issue is the choice of identity; when sixteen-year-olds has to choose the identity for future. The transition childhood to maturity is the phase which sixteen-year-old defines as one of the social faction. It is described by how the division of society captures personality types.
