As an aspiring educator, I must understand the importance of incorporating diverse perspectives and inclusivity into my teaching practices, particularly in history. History education plays a vital role in shaping how students understand and appreciate different cultural and ethnic groups and see the relevance of history in their own lives. In this essay, I will discuss the importance of incorporating inclusive practices, such as counter-storytelling and decolonizing the curriculum, into the history curriculum to foster a more inclusive and equitable society.

Additionally, I plan to seek mentorship or coaching from experienced educators who can help me develop my skills by observing experienced teachers in the classroom and receiving feedback on my teaching practices. I understand the importance of reflecting on my teaching practices and identifying areas where I can improve.
Another goal is to set specific targets for myself, such as learning a new teaching method or implementing new technology in my classroom. This will help me stay motivated and continue growing as a teacher. Additionally, I understand the importance of communication skills with students and colleagues, so I want to work on developing mine.
