Analyzing the influence of culture on attitudes, values, perception, human behavior and interpersonal relations on school campuses is a highly important aspect of addressing diversity considerations. The increase in students with limited English speaking abilities has grown over the years. According to the (United States Department of Education, 2013), there are over 4 million students in the United States that are considered English Learners. All children are different, not to mention their specific cultures and cultural differences. As children grow, it is important that educators take the time to understand the cultures of the children they teach. Processes of this type can be achieved by teachers who have a desire and interest in finding ways to communicate, not only with the student but with family members and other community leaders who have an investment in the education and growth of said children. Teachers must find creative ways to communicate not only with a student(s) but with the parents and guardians; this will ensure clear understanding and allow for setting goals regarding the students learning the English language as well as meeting other academic requirements. For example, the core testing of students should be examined to ensure that it allows the student(s) to achieve its criteria and expectations by better understanding cultural differences. It is also critical to unify the students within the class to ensure real understanding and connection to ensure the child(ren) do not experience segregation because of their differences. These findings are a good beginning to the necessary change need within our school systems. As indicated by Ore (2014), “segregation influences not only wealth, but also access to critical resources, such as education, employment, and good health. Social institutions play a significant role in creating inequality,” (p. 223).

In conclusion, while diversity issues will likely exist in the minds of many, as parents and teachers, we have a genuine opportunity to effect change and tolerance in our children. We start with introducing our kids into cultural shifts at an early age which opens a greater potential of disrupting negative patterns of information their
