Diversity Promoting a diverse workforce is a primary goal of the HR department at DC Motors. Historically, DC Motors executed HR functions on a decentralized, department-by-department basis. The inefficiencies of that method cried for reform and this strategic plan answers with the goals, implementation strategy, and measurement criteria for a new, centralized shared-services HR structure that aligns with DC’s corporate vision and mission. Utilizing shared services, that is making available human resource supports to all departments, leads to greater consistency and efficiency company processes (Centralizing staff, 2007). Those gains help the HR department truly aid DC in its vision to “become a world class company, the standard by which others are measured” (Colorado State University-Global Campus, 2016).
