Do you think violent video games and TV shows make children violent? I don't believe that to be true. It's true that the youth has become a little more violent, but I don't think video games and tv shows are to blame. Violent kids usually come from bad homes, usually have mental disorders, and sometimes they have violent and abusive people around them. Are television shows and video games really to blame? In most cases, violent children come from a bad home. For example, the child's parents could be alcoholics or drug addicts, and the adults in their life could be abusive. Usually, kids let out their frustration caused by these issues by becoming more violent. They get in more fights, and sometimes are bullies. Some children view this as an outlet for anger. Most of the time, mental disorders are the ones to blame for violent acts. Some disorders cause children to act out because they have trouble controlling themselves. Autism is an example of this. Other disorders cause children to think differently and behave differently. To tie things together, a mental complication could be the reason to blame for violent children. A third reason why a child might become aggressive is that people around the child are aggressive, violent, or abusive. For example, a lot of meaner kids have been bullied. They have probably become more assertive as a defense mechanism, to prevent being bullied again. Another example is that the child's guardians are abusive to them.
