Does Evil disprove Atheism?
I thought the speaker in this video made an excellent point regarding whether or not evil disproves God. As C. S. Lewis put it, “The shadows prove the sunshine.” In order to have shadows, you must have sunshine. It is possible to have sunshine without shadows, but not the other way around. But why would an all-loving God not eliminate every evil? Using the same idea that God cannot logically do the impossible, such as create a square circle, we may also see that it is logically impossible to make someone freely do good. If he makes them, they cannot be free. And if they are free, he can’t make them. I also believe that because God is omniscient, he knows many things that we do not. I feel that God did not create us to be simply happy in this life, but to show forth His goodness and to share His message. Although evil is here and it is very real, it is also temporary. Evil will eventually be destroyed, as there is a new world coming, mentioned in Revelation 21:5, in which there will be no more tears or pain because all things will be made new!
Is The Future Hopeless for Today’s Youth?
I will admit, it is a little frightening to me to realize not that long ago, when my parents were kids, seeing lingerie ads on bus stop signs or inappropriate ads before a movie was shocking.
While many still feel the same distaste toward these campaigns, it is no longer as surprising as it should be. It is truly frightening to what extent a generation may degrade over such a short period of time. But I also believe this is our time to rise up and grow stronger in our faith because of it. I appreciated it when Pastor Bobby Conway said in the video, in reference to today's youth, that “the darker the world gets, the more their light can shine. No matter how hopeless this world is, there's always hope through Jesus Christ.” The whole video brought
