The issue of obesity is important because more than 1 in 3 adults were considered to have obesity. This issue is controversial because while some believe that the government is the cause of obesity, others believe that it is a person’s own doing. My opinion on this issue is that fast food places like Mcdonalds , Burger King, Wendy's, and Arby's are the cause of obesity in America because it's fast, it's cheap, and time effective. I strongly believe fast food restaurants are the cause of obesity. It is important to realize that if you enter a food restaurant, you go in and you are able to come back out in 10 minutes tops. But, if you go to the store and buy some groceries and then come back and cook it will take you at least two-three hours depending on what you are cooking. They could sell better nutrient rich foods but they don’t because if they do that they will be ruining the prices of their cheese burgers, and it will rise up in costs making it that not alot of people want it buy it anymore. This explains my statement because You pressed snooze on your alarm too many times, you’re late for your meeting, and you don’t have time to make breakfast so you’re hungry. it’s noon already and you go to your local burger king, order a cheese burger and some fries that you get from the drive through, …show more content…
