“Singer and musician Dolly Parton is a beloved cultural icon whose powerful voice, songwriting and personality have won the hearts of country and pop music fans for decades” (“Dolly Parton Biography”). Dolly Parton is a very inspirational person for many reasons. Not everyone will agree with me and think she is a inspirational person. Dolly tries to get along with everyone. She doesn 't miss treat people for no reason. Dolly is a sweet southern women that grew up in poor conditions, but she still does her dreams. I have three good reasons why I think Dolly is an inspirational person. Dolly Parton didn’t get famous and forget about where she grew up. She loved where she grew up it 's obvious she loves Tennessee.She wrote a song about where she grew up. She opened up an amusement park, called Dollywood, in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Dolly was born on January 19, 1946 in her home town of Locust Ridge, Tennessee. Locust Ridge is about 23 mins from Pigeon Forge. She donated $1,000 a month for 6 months to the families that lost their homes in her home town. Dolly puts on concerts for her home town every now and then. Dolly says “And now this Smoky Mountain girl has been all around the world,But it makes no difference just how far I roam. Dolly’s family struggled to survive growing up but that didn 't stop her from doing her dream. She did her first recording at the age of 13.
