Over the years, Dolly has put just as much love into her career as a country singer, songwriter, and philanthropist helping many children. Parton began performing professionally at a young age in Knoxville, Tennessee on the local television and radio shows. She eventually made her Grand Ole Opry debut that set her on a career in music. Dolly’s singing career really started taking off in 1967, while around the time she partnered with Porter Wagoner on the Porter Wagoner Show.
