“Dolly Parton’s America: How She Set Celebrity Culture and Norms

Dolly Parton once said something that speaks to all of us: “I am not going to limit myself just because people won’t accept the fact that I can do something else.” What she means is she's not going to let anyone tell her what to do and how to live her life. Dolly Parton is in my opinion a universal uniter. She unites everyone. You can find every single type of person at her concerts. People who you would think would hate each other feel comfortable about being at Dolly's concerts together. Happy and dancing and singing together. Her stance on the queer community is that it's cool. Gay or straight everyone is beautiful in their way and we should judge them based on who they love.

I have been sexually harassed like she was in the movie. I know how it makes you feel and takes you to a dark place. Everyone hated her for a stupid rumor and she overcame that. She took back her power. I liked how everyone else imaginary scenario was about killing him but hers was to give him a taste of his own medicine. She united these three women and together they made a fair and equal workplace without anything making the women
