The Dominican Republic
Juan Pablo Duarte is one of the founding fathers of the Dominican Republic. The Dominican Republic is one of the Caribbean islands. The Dominican Republic’s flag has its coat of arms on it. The flag has the colors red, white, and blue along with a bible in its center to symbolize their religions. The Dominican Republic is a beautiful country because of its geography, history, and interesting facts. The Dominican Republic has many unique facts about its geography. It is in the north and west hemispheres. Also it is in North America.The Dominican Republic has many surrounding countries like Cuba, Jamaica, Haiti, Puerto Rico,and Turks and Caicos islands. According to, ”Countries of the world, Dominican Republic”, it states that Its capital city is Santo Domingo, and the country's area is 18,792 miles squared. The Dominican Republic has beautiful physical features as well like mountains, valleys, and rivers. Some examples are rivers like the Yaque del Norte, and the Yaque del Sur. One prominent athlete that came from the Dominican Republic is none other than Samuel Peralia Sosa otherwise known as Sammie Sosa. He learned how to play baseball with a homemade bat and ball, he grew up and was observed as a real talent in the sport. He was scouted by the Texas Rangers to play professional Baseball in the USA.
