What are your plans for the future? Donald De La Haye, also known as Deestroying, thought he had a future in football as a kicker, but he was wrong. This paper will discuss his scholarship offer that was given and then taken away by a choice he made, his fame on YouTube and how he is now using his expertise and YouTube fame to help future athletes. Donald De La Haye started his career by attending Port St. Lucie High School. He would later get a full ride scholarship to the University of Central Florida. Donald would later commit to UCF and play for the team for one year, then Donald De La Haye’s life would change on August 1st in 2017 as he would be informed that UCF would be taking away his scholarship if he continued to do YouTube. Why did UCF want to take away his scholarship? Then after the whole UCF incident he continued to make videos, and he started to get more and more popular that he earned a sponsorship from Bang Energy drink. Donald De La Haye now spends his time going to high school football games and tries to help the players get noticed by colleges. Some players he has helped include Travis Hunter, Thomas Nance, and Lamar Patterson who tragically passed away.
