Why Latino Children Are Scared of Donald Trump
An article written by the author and journalist, Héctor Tobar is a spokesman, he puts into words, how the Mexican population perceives Donald Trump. His article compares Donald Trump with ghost stories such as “La Llorona” and “the Chupacabra”, two fictional characters read to children at bedtime. Trump is against Mexican immigrants, and speaks of them in a very bad way, calling them all “rapists”.
I intend to analyze the growing separation from the republican party and the Mexican population living in The United States, through the information given in the article. In addition to that I will speculate what the future holds for the people who will be affected by this year’s presidential election. The topic of the article is as the title states; the negative impact Donald trump has on Latino children. However, the theme could be a few things, for the sake of simplicity, I will focus on one theme, discrimination, and use evidence from the article to back up my claims.

The article itself has an emotional topic, which hints to the form of appeal. To be certain of the form of appeal an in-depth analysis of the author’s choice in words or other pathos traits. In the beginning of the article the author’s choice of words to introduce us to Donald Trump illustrates the personal opinion coming from Héctor. “vicious screed against Mexican immigrants” many synonyms could have been used here but, the author chose the more dramatic version.
