In the stories Susan B. Anthony Dares to Vote and Don’t Give Up The Fight they share they same theme that is perseverance. For example Susan B. Anthony Dares she stands up for the blacks so they can get their right to vote. In Don’t Give Up The Fight Ava’s coach is very mean to Ava and so Ava friend Lindsay helped her tell the teachers. Even though the stories are very similar they are also very different. For example in Susan B. Anthony Dares to Vote, Susan isn’t afraid to speak her voice and in Don’t Give Up The Fight, Ava doesn’t stand up for herself.

In the story Don’t Give Up The Fight the story shows perseverance. The story shows perseverance because “Ava” he said I’m here”

Anthony Dares to Vote she demanded to be registered to vote. Also it said “ I shall never pay a dollar of your unjust penalty” This shows that she has perseverance, because people didn’t think that women do as much as men so that’s why they couldn’t vote. Susan B. Anthony didn’t care about that and tried and tried even when no one agreed with her.

In both of theses stories Susan B. Anthony Dares to Vote and Don’t Give Up The Fight the moods are very different for example Susan B. Anthony she isn’t afraid to speak her mind, but Ava is too shy to stand up for herself. Susan stands up for woman but Ava just lets her coach and teammates treat her the way they did and Ava didn’t try to stop them.
