Robert Louis Stevenson’s dark novel The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde explores the universal theme of the duality of human nature. In the novella, Stevenson describes a quiet and well-respected lawyer named Gabriel Utterson who becomes involved in a strange case regarding his friend Dr. Henry Jekyll and the unusual Mr. Hyde.
