In today’s lecture, Dr. Laude discussed optimization. Optimization means “wanting to be better” in our career and in our life. First of all, one reason that people lie to themselves about why they are doing bad in a class is to make themselves feel better, some learn from their mistakes but some unfortunately do not. Dr. Laude explained that achieving personal growth and success is about understanding that for every “optimization there’s always a response,” a positive or negative one.
