Dr Muddd Justified In Helping Lincoln's Killer

Did you know Dr.Mudd got into trouble helping Lincoln’s Killer(John Wilkes Booth) and being guilty in many ways? Such as helping his leg and more. Even though he only got four years of his full punishment , but he did help while imprisoned. I claim that: Dr.Mudd’s punishment of life in prison fit for his crimes and what he did. Here is why it all fit for what he did. There are many reason why his whole punishment fit. Reason one , he helped John Wilkes Booth. By protecting John (unknowingly) for the night by giving him a room in his house. Dr.Mudd had also helped John by helping his leg, because he was a doctor. Dr.Mudd was also a part of Booth’s conspiracy at some point, but not part of the Lincoln’s Assassination. Since he helped John Wilkes Booth he was a guilty person and helped Booth in his escape. Such as he hadn’t been in on one of Booth’s conspiracies in a while.He didn’t even know who Booth was that night when he show up after Lincoln was killed. He didn’t know Booth was coming that night, he just helped him because Dr.Mudd was a doctor, but then we don’t know if he did that night we don’t know Dr.Mudd’s thought. He might have part of the whole conspiracy the whole time. We don’t know. He also had helped Booth in the middle of the night,so why. My claim still fits Dr.Mudd was still tied to Booth but he may have not known he helped booth quite a bit. He should have had maybe a longer sentence because he was pardoned after about four years. Maybe he should have just had his full life sentence, because he had still helped Booth. Like helping Booth’s leg , just let him get away, and the rest of the evidence.Like I said my he just should have reported it himself while he had a chance ,but he didn’t . Maybe he just should have sucked it up and reported Booth. This is why Dr.Mudd’s punishment fit
