Life Of Dr. Seuss An interesting fact about Dr. Seuss is that Seuss wrote Green Eggs and Ham from a bet that his publisher gave to him when he said that Seuss couldn't write a book by only using 50 words. Seuss is one of the most well known authors for his collection of many children's books. Some may even say the very best at what he does because of the way Seuss wrote and also his illustrations. All in all Seuss is an exceptional writer that started from literally nothing. In the following paragraphs you will begin to see some of the ups and downs of Dr. Seuss’s amazing career. Theodor Geisel, better known as Dr. Seuss was born on March 2, 1904 in Springfield, Massachusetts. His father influenced his drawing, but he said his mother influenced the way he writes. She would read to him in a rhythmic way which gave him a knack for wanting to write. This is what started his entire career. Once Seuss was back and settled in he worked to be a full-time cartoon writer, which lead to him being published in many magazines. Most of Seuss’s books have political and ethical ideas. This is shown in Cat In the Hat and many other of Seuss’s children's books. Also Seuss uses Onomatopoeia for example, in The Butter Battle Book when it says,” I dragged and I sagged and my spirits were low, as low as I thought that they ever could go, when I heard a Boom-bah! And a Diddle-Dee-dill!”. Now a quote by Seuss for the reason why Seuss writes ,” You have brains in your head.
