Japanese education system as depicted in Norifusa Mita’s Dragon Zakura live action series Stories centering on themes such as school life are relatable. Due to the fact that these often take place in a realistic setting and that the audience, generally speaking, have attended schools themselves, which equipped them with various personal experiences regarding school dynamics. Thus, the audience can also reflect on their own when being exposed to such materials.
Aside from the commonly appreciated and academically well-studied mediums of literature such as novels and cinema, the stories of these kinds can also be take form in live action series. And both of them noted that they there were not many options to begin with. Different people with diverse background often repeated this sentiment in the first 2 episodes of the story.
