Did you know that Drake is considered the world's only black-jewish canadian rapstar? Drake was born Aubrey “Drake” Graham in Toronto, Canada on October 24, 1986, he is 30 years old. Drake is best known for rapping and acting, he played the role of Jimmy Brooks in Degrassi: The Next Generation. People think that his songs revolve around drugs and money, but actually most of them don’t. Most of his songs revolve around his own personal life and his feelings about situations. Drake is an influential person because of his unique background, his acting career, and his many accomplishments.

He became a phenomenon after one of his first albums, Thank Me Later went platinum in 2010, this album was issued through Young Money Productions, it featured collaborations with Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Lil Wayne. Thank Me Later debut at number 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart and was certified platinum by the recording industry Association of America. That same year his mixtape So Far Gone peaked at number 6 on the U.S Billboard 200 chart and won a Juno award for rap recording of the year. A year before that, in 2009, “Best I Ever Had”, a promotional single had climbed to number 2 on billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop songs chart. In 2012 Drake provided the voice for Ethan on Ice Age: Continental Drift, that same year while on tour, Drake announced that he had started work on what would be his 3rd studio album. Nothing Was The Same, was released the following September, it topped many charts around the world and was short listed for the Polaris Music Prize and was nominated for a Best Rap Album Grammy. This album won a Juno Award for Rap Recording of the Year and a BET Hip Hop Award for Best Album of the Year. After the album's success he hit the road on an extended tour, he took in part some collaborations, and released a few singles including “0 to 100 The Catch Up”. The Song “Grammys” is basically a song about his many accomplishments. Views was originally going to be named Views From The 6 as a reference to his hometown Toronto, Ontario but it later got shortened to Views. Views remained at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 for an outstanding 13 weeks. Views sold over 852,000 copies in the first week of release and achieved over 245 million streams, more than previous record 115.2 million by Beyonce’s Lemonade. Views became Drake’s sixth consecutive number one album. As of August 2016 Views has sold 1.4 million copies in the U.S. overall, it has attained one billion streams in the U.S. according to the record
