Every country needs leadership but not just anyone can pick up a baton and lead a country in a testing period. Good qualities a president should possess are focus, passion, confidence, clarity and respect. In my opinion, Drew Brees, quarterback of the New Orleans Saints and Cameron Jordan, defensive end of the New Orleans Saints both carry these qualities and would be a perfect fit for President of The United States.
In today’s world, great leadership can be hard to find. Certainly, we cannot simply look to leaders given up to us in the media via politics or just business. So many professional athletes are great leaders and many go unnoticed. One reason professional athletes can make great presidents are the determination that they possess.

For New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees, these elements are day-to-day routine and something of second nature for the two-time NFC MVP and one-time Super Bowl Champion. “Drew Brees, who moved to the city of New Orleans in March of 2006, made an immediate impact on not only the Saints organization but also the community surrounding the team” (Christian Martin). The football season prior to his arrival was highly unsuccessful, not only because of the Saints disgracefully bad 3-13 record, but the natural disaster that was known as Hurricane Katrina that demolished the city of New Orleans in August of 2005. “Through the Brees Dream Foundation, which was started in 2003, Drew immediately became involved in Hurricane Katrina recovery and in 2007 announced a partnership with “Operation Kids” in an attempt to rebuild and recreate academic facilities as well as parks, playgrounds, athletic centers, after school and mentoring programs. By revitalizing and restoring child care projects and facilities in New Orleans, Brees instantly became a fan favorite and hero amongst the Saints fans; not to mention the on field turn around leading the Saints to a 10-6 record and winning the NFC South Division Title” (Christian Martin). During the 2009-2010 season, Drew Brees led his teammates to their first ever Super Bowl Championship appearance in franchise history beating the chosen Indianapolis Colts.
