Most of us teenager usually forget what they have studied during in driving school especially about road laws and usually break them without realizing the consequences for example running red light, U turning at no U turn junction and speeding. i. If we all agree using this act, all of them will always remember and obey all the road laws. This will also help them to drive more careful and make them think twice before breaking the law. ii. This test will also make them remember what the consequences are if they disobey the road laws and how much fines that they will get. This annual test for the first five year can ensure them that they know how to drive a manual car and no longer bring any problems to them and other road users. B. Parking is major problem here in Malaysia especially those who just obtain their license that don’t know how to park their properly. i. With this test, they parking skill will be tested every year and this will surely increase their parking skill and help them to park their car properly. ii. The hardest parking of them all is parallel parking which not everyone can master so easily even in driving school. With this annual test, that problem is no longer a problem each driver who need to park their car in a parallel parking space. Transition: This is all the benefits or the advantages if yearly driving tests should be mandatory for the first five years after getting a license. Conclusion I. As for the conclusion, two years is not enough for young new drivers who just got their license to fully understand how to drive on the road. II. One driving test is also not enough because after the driving test, most of them usually forget all the things that have been taught to them. III. The government must extend the length of “perhatian” in Malaysia to five year instead two
In this letter, the author argues that all students should be required to take the driver’s education course at Centerville High School which is a mandatory program sponsored by the high school to solve the teenage driving problems in the town of Centerville. He supports his argument by presenting some evidence, however, there can be a number of flaws in his argument, rendering it unconvincing. First, the author assumes that Centerville High School students should take driver’s program because several accidents in and around Centerville have involved teenagers. However, the evidence the author needs to provide that the accidents may have been caused only by Centerville High School students.
Today well over 50% of the states in America have a “No Pass, No Drive” law, and these states are experiencing great success in terms of education. A “No Pass, No Drive” law, or NPND, is the official name for the law that requires students to pass with a ‘C’ average before driving. There is no better way to provide a strong reasoning behind the support of NPND legislation than to observe the effects in states that are currently happening. One of the biggest arguments against NPND is that it gives students on the verge of dropping out one more reason to go through with the decision. However, this argument is very flawed because NPND actually does the exact opposite.
Because of safety concerns, many states have increased the age at which teens can begin to drive. Currently a teenager is required to be fifteen years and six months old to acquire a learner’s permit and sixteen years and three months old to acquire his or her license. Some adults believe teenagers are immature and not responsible. However, many teens have matured by the age of sixteen. The age requirement should not be raised from 16 to 18 because many individuals must be able to commute on their own, many individuals have family members who need to be driven places, and many individuals participate in activities that require them to be places at specific times.
“1 in 5 sixteen-year-olds will have a responsible car crash within the first year” (Teen Drivers and Passengers: Get the Facts). The article portrays how people are trying to explain that teens are not prepared to drive yet and can crash or cause an accident because of being too young and not being able to think clearly. “Instead, most fatal crashes with 16 years old, 77% of the drivers, involved errors; especially the kind most common among novices” (Teen Drivers and Passengers: Get the Facts). Driving at such young age can cause many more errors and crashes because of their immaturity and limited driving
Not all driver’s books are the same, so some may contain different information. To get your instruction permit you need to learn about road signs. Road signs you need to study are regulatory signs, warning signs, marker signs, guide and informational signs, recreational and cultural interests signs, signs for bicycle facilities, temporary traffic control signs, railroad, and light rail signs, school signs, and emergency and incident management signs (Mouer, 2010). After practicing road signs you will need to learn about the rules of the road. Rules of the road you should learn are, passing, intersections, emergency vehicles, school buses, hand and vehicle signals, turns, u-turns, right turns, left turns, one-way street onto a two-way street, two-way street onto a one-way street, two-way street onto a two-way street, multiple left turn lanes, roundabout intersections, j-turn intersections, and local ordinances.
Driving is apart of most teens, and adults lives for many years. There are many exciting moments from getting a license to cramming as many friends in into a car (Zermike 6-7). On the other hand there are terrifying moments from being involved in a car accident, to losing your life, and your friends life. It is important for teens to realize the responsibilities that come with driving.
I believe that teen’s cause more car crashes because they’re new to driving and don’t know the full responsibilities to the rules of the road. There are many different scenarios that lead to car wrecks, injuries and even deaths, such as texting while operating a vehicle, under the influence, and general lack of knowledge. Texting and
Speeding and Teen Fatalities Speeding is becoming an increasingly large problems among teenage drivers. from 2000 to 2011 accidents caused by speeding increased from thirty to thirty three percent. The leading cause of death in teenagers is automobile accidents. (NHTSA) Seventy five percent of teen drivers crash due to critical errors like going to fast for road conditions. Speeding is a primary cause in a third of fatal crashes involving teen drivers, according to the Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA).
Inexperience in teen drivers is the most substantial reason for these accidents. The possibility of teens
Driving seems like a simple task, after all most people in the world do it in what seems to be an effortless way. What people fail to talk about are the difficulties of driving after doing it for such a long time, specifically when you reach your elderly years. Elderly drivers are faced with multiple issues when driving on the road, including weather conditions that make them experience fear about driving, medical complications and health status that affect the way they drive, and age-related vulnerabilities that alter the way they used to drive as an adult. Elderly drivers should be required to reapply for their driving licenses to not only ensure the people around them are safe, but also to ensure their own safety. As people become older,
Topic: Retesting Drivers After the Age of Seventy Specific purpose: Inform audience of the dangers of elderly driving and persuade their opinion towards retesting licenses after the age of seventy. Thesis: Reevaluating the policies concerning driver’s license retesting and taking notice of these potential threats can lead to a safer environment on the roadways. Introduction I. Attention-getting device: How many of you have ever been stereotyped as a bad driver due to your age?
Learning to drive is a privilege that I strongly believe teens should keep, and here is why. Driving is an extremely dangerous task, but if you teach people while their brains are still maturing, it makes the process simpler and safer. Learning at a young age to drive is much safer than learning when you are of an older age because your brain is still adaptable. You will be able to learn quicker because your growing mind haven't fully developed. That being the case, your brain is still malleable.
It’s concluded that making the driving age as a minimum age of sixteen has had a negative impact. This minimum age has affected the road safety negatively. It has caused premature death and severe injuries among teenagers aged 16 and 17 years old. Research suggests that some risks of driving are contributed to the lack of skill and experience. Furthermore, age plays a crucial role in deciding the risks valid in
Everybody looks forward to the day they turn 16 and take their road test for their driver’s license. Getting a driver’s license is like a gateway into adulthood, a right of passage some people may say. It’s been like this for years, ever since the early 20th century, when it was mandated for licenses to be issued to anyone wishing to operate one or more motor vehicles. In spite of the fact that this has been the norm for quite a while, there are people out there who wish to place more stern regulations such as raising the driving age. Although implementing stricter driving laws may seem a better option, it doesn’t always have superior outcomes to its countering opinion.
This heavy resource implication is preventing effective enforcement of the offence. As a result of existing legislation, government intervention is required to improve the enforcement regime. Thus. in order to overcome this problem smoothly drivers who drive carelessly shall punished with a fine, demerit points given to careless drivers and the court shall order particulars of any conviction under careless and inconsiderate driving section to be endorsed on any driving licence held by the person convicted.
