The richest people are able to access more than 40 % of Brazil’s income while the poorest people are able to receive only 1% or less of the income. I have seen the things adults even children do just to get a little bit of money in their hands, being in the Favela which is one of the poorest places in brazil , the drug corruption is serious. The lower class economy that no one likes to associate with just because it's known to be dangerous with their own gangs , and going around killing whoever they want even police officers. In my opinion the Favela is no place for anyone, even when tourist try to visit Brazil and visit Rio de Janeiro they will be in danger. The drugs and gangs are on a rise, you think gangs are bad out here? Well think again. Think where it all originated back on the islands. The poverty in Brazil is serious, having the governments frozen and everyone protesting against the president, blaming her for the debt, the way they have portrayed her to be called an iron lady in the beginning and now fallen into her mistakes and her big spending problem causing more and more poverty in brazil. There are some children who strive to get out, while others are being forced into gangs and feel like they should be a part of a gang in order to be protected and helped.
