Abstract Dyslexia is one of the most common yet the most silent learning disabilities in America. The education system does not see the advantages and disadvantages of a student who has dyslexia. Many people are just now getting around to fully understanding dyslexia and how it affects the child in the classroom. With legislation just starting on actual dyslexia laws, dyslexics have seen the necessity to provide and strive for themselves. For the student, they have very vivid imagination on top of the ability to alter and create perceptions the other human beings are not able to. Dyslexic students can be successful within the classroom with the help of the educators in the building. The cons of dyslexia can outweigh the advantages; for example many of the students, the teacher's will have to be taught a different method of learning to read, and or write because most dyslexics use the bright frontal lobe after brain instead of the left side of their brain to read (Reid, 2009) . One disadvantage dyslexia for a student can be that they for students fall behind their peers do not have dyslexia. Teachers and administrators do not see how to fully make the students succeed and strive by using their dyslexia to their advantage. The school systems, on the other hand, do not have the finances, the knowledge, or the support for the student to fully succeed and strive within the school system that they are …show more content…

The teacher from also fully doesn't understand what is like for the dyslexics mind to read and process the information given to them. Take the word cat, for example, there are three letter sounds within the word however with the dyslexics mind they will don't hear one letter sound in the word cat, and when the word is spoken aloud not a whole foods butter sounds in the word cat would be spoken aloud. The way to work at teachers' workshop for the teachers to understand and take advantage of the knowledge that they have about dyslexia would be a full compromise not only with the board of Education but the whole education system in total. If teachers, fellow classmates, parents, the senators, governors, and the president would take time to see for the day a week or a month what it is like to be dyslexic then human beings within America fully understand what it is like to be dyslexic and the teachers and everyone else would know how looks and feels, how they process, and how worthless some people make them
