E.B. White is most famous for his children’s book “Charlotte’s Web”. He lived from July 11,1899 - October 1, 1985. He attending Cornell University. He worked for many companies including editing the school newspaper, the United Press, Seattle Times, and eventually The New Yorker magazine. When he was in college people started calling him “Andy” because he didn’t like his real name (Elywn Brooks White)(Biography.com Editors, 2016). He graduated from Cornell University in 1921. Later he pursued in journalism for many years.

White started his writing career by attending college and graduating with a degree in journalism(Biography.com Editors, 2016). He wrote many books like “Charlotte’s Web” , ‘Stuart Little”, and “The Trumpet Swan”. White has authored 17 books(goodreads.com, 2016). White has won many awards throughout his career. In 1973 he was elected into the American Academy of Arts and Letters(goodreads.com, 2016).
White wrote essays, children’s books, poems, articles, and even revised a book. The children’s books he wrote weren’t for imaginary beliefs, they were stories to teach children about life lessons(Scholastic.com, 2016). One of his most famous books is “Charlotte’s Web”. It was written in 1952. He was inspired to write this book from one day when he walked out in his barn and saw pigs and a spider. This book was made into movie that many people love. It was written to teach people about a story of friendship and that death is a part of everyday life (notablebiographies.com, 2016). “Stuart Little” is also a famous book that became into a movie.
