This semester from my course books and videos I learned about the early childhood teaching programs and literacy strategies. I learned what kinds of skills and professional training is essential for early childhood educators. I learned that early childhood educators face so many challenges while working with children and their families. This is not an easy job because it demands knowledge, skills, sensitivity, and hard work. An early childhood educator has some legal responsibilities, professional values, and professional ethics. I learned that young children spend a significant part of their lives in an early childhood setting, so it is the teacher’s responsibility to provide the children with a safe and healthy indoor and outdoor environment. I learned about the importance of play in the children's lives, learning skills, and social and mental development. I learned about the different kinds of curriculum, the principles of curriculum construction, and about the plans of different activities. I learned that an early childhood educator faces many problems while working with dual language learners and children with special needs. I learned that it is the teacher’s responsibility to provide the children with an indoor and outdoor environment that supports the children’s learning skills. The early childhood educator must establish a strong positive relationship with the children’s families and provide them with the opportunities to participate in the program. The early childhood professionals must have the knowledge and skills needed to effectively educate the young
