Alessia Cara’s new song talks about the struggle that women go through to fit into or society. “Scars to Your Beautiful” brings up a topic that a lot of other Pop singers are bringing up on their songs. Even if women have achieved a lot of rights, society still has a lot of high expectations about them. The main one that Alessia Cara shows in her song is about “beauty” but these other artists like Madonna and Beyonce also talk about how society expects women to behave. Alessia Cara is a Canadian singer and songwriter born in July 11, 1996, making her 21 years old. She started recording cover videos for Youtube and ended up signing with Def Jam Recordings and releasing her first single, “Here”, that hit the Top 5 in the United States.
