The religions of both the East and the West share the general belief of an afterlife and their impacts on society are similar in that they all had moral codes that influenced people to treat others how you would want to be treated. However, their religions differ in that Eastern religions generally believe in reincarnation and their impacts on society are different in that Western religions did not believe in karma or in a hierarchy system.
