Ecology is the study of how living things interact with each other and with their environment. Ecology was portrayed in the movie The Lion King by showing a visualization of how the animals come together to balance out the environment. In this essay I will be talking about how ecology succession can change the environment, the symbiotic relationship in The Lion King and how its important in maintaining a stable ecosystem and abiotic and biotic factors in a community. Ecological Succession is an observed process of change in species life of an ecological community over time. Living things have an enormous impact on the natural environment. In The Lion King ecological succession took place when all the animals left when Scar (lion) becomes king, then when Simba (lion) comes back all the animals returned. Another example would be when fire scorched Pride Rock, that was a ecological disturbance and was harmful to the environment. One example from real life would be deforestation, the process of cutting down or burning trees to clear land. It removes species habitat as well as making it hard for biotic factors to survive because of the loss oxygen trees supplies. A symbiotic relationship in The Lion King is when the birds sit on top of the elephant tusk and eat the insects which is around the elephants, one is left beneficial and the other left unharmed called Commensalism.
