The period between 1877 and 1900 saw an array of economic challenges that required the intervention of business people to foster sustainability. During the last quarter of the 19th century, the American economy needed some sort of maturity in the industrial sector, expansion of big corporations, the need to widen agricultural production, as well as the essence of solving industrial conflicts. The technological change outburst experienced towards the end of the 19th Century saw business people in the U.S expand their operations beyond the borders of the country thanks to globalization. Additionally, mechanization
