There were several interesting concepts to pick from this week’s economic concepts. With the recent election, I found the concept of the Central Bank (Federal Reserve) very interesting. “The Federal System, or just the Fed, is the central bank in the United States; it was created in 1913 to help provide stability to the country’s financial system” (Farnham, P., 2014, p.366). The Fed is responsible for regulating the financial system of the economy and making sure the monetary policies that are implanted are good for the economy.
