Edgar Allan Poe lived the life unhappy but followed his dreams. Edgar Allan Poe started his life badly. On 19 January 1809, He was born in Boston, Massachusetts. He was the second child of David and Elizabeth Poe. (Dameron) He also had two siblings named Henry and Rosalie. (Giordano) However there was an event that make the family separated, is their father, David’s mysterious vanishing. (Dameron) After he disappeared, Edgar’s mother, Elizabeth Arnold Poe ended her life. First, Dr. J.F.C Handel claimed that he died because of alcohol or drug. Also a physician Dr. John Moran said that before he died, he had said “Reynolds” repeatedly. There was a “Reynolds” around him who is Jeremiah N. Reynolds, a newspaper editor. He was also known as an explorer who gave Poe an inspiration for a novel, “The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym”.
